Christmas Quizzes, Bingo and Picture Rounds

Christmas is the one time of year when almost everybody is up for a quiz, whether it's the family round the table after dinner, the office party, the pub on Christmas Eve or a church hall full of people who came for the mince pies. We've made a lot of Christmas quizzes over the years, and this page brings them all together: film and TV, music and Christmas number ones, Santa picture rounds, dingbats, trivia, nativity quizzes and a whole stack of Christmas bingo.

Everything is an instant PDF download, so you can buy something on Christmas Eve and still have it printed before anyone arrives. Every quiz comes with a full answer sheet for the quiz master, and most of the picture quizzes also include a clues version with some letters filled in, which is useful when you've got grandparents and grandchildren playing on the same team. If you'd rather not choose, the bundles at the bottom of the page put ten quizzes together in one go.

Christmas film, TV and advert quizzes

Most of these are picture quizzes: 12 images on one printed sheet, with space next to each for players to write their answer, and a separate quiz master answer sheet. Where the title includes "Mystery", the images are cropped close-ups, which makes even very familiar films surprisingly hard to name. Most come with a clues version too, so you can make things easier for younger players without buying anything extra.

Christmas Films picture quiz sheet preview

Christmas Films

A picture round of Christmas films, each shown as a single still. Home Alone and The Santa Clause are in there, so most people will get off the mark quickly, and there's a nice spread from the animated classics through to the nineties comedies that get repeated every December. One of them is a cartoon that's older than most of the people playing. Clues version included, and you can see the full preview on the Etsy listing. A good opener for a family quiz on Christmas Day.

Films Set at Christmas picture quiz sheet preview

Films Set at Christmas

Twelve films that happen to take place at Christmas, even if nobody thinks of them as Christmas films. Die Hard, Gremlins and Batman Returns are all in there, so yes, this quiz has taken a side in that argument. There are some proper festive favourites too, and one or two that will make people say "that's not set at Christmas" until they think about it. Clues version included, and there's a full preview on Etsy. Made for the pub, or anyone who has strong views on Die Hard.

Mystery Christmas Film Posters picture quiz sheet preview

Mystery Christmas Film Posters

Twelve Christmas film posters, cropped down to a small section so you have to work out the film from a corner of the artwork. Elf and The Polar Express are in there, and the rest range from black and white classics to films that are definitely not for the kids' table. It's much harder than a normal film round, which is what makes it fun. Clues version included, and you can see the full preview on the Etsy listing.

Festive Movie Villains picture quiz sheet preview

Festive Movie Villains

Name the Christmas film from its villain. Hans Gruber and the Grinch are in there, along with Mr Potter from It's a Wonderful Life and a Batman baddie who spends most of his film in the sewers. Our favourite answer is for The Snowman, where we've decided the villain is simply the weather warming up, which is either very clever or very sad. Clues version included, and the full preview is on Etsy. A good round for film fans who think they've seen everything.

Festive Villains picture quiz sheet preview

Festive Villains

A picture round of villains for the festive season. Ebenezer Scrooge and the Grinch are the obvious ones, but the line-up wanders well beyond Christmas films and includes a real historical figure who once tried to cancel Christmas altogether. Some of them are a bit scary for very small children, so it's one for older kids and adults. Clues version included, and you can see the whole thing on the Etsy listing.

UK Christmas TV Specials picture quiz sheet preview

UK Christmas TV Specials

Name the show from a still of its Christmas special. Only Fools and Horses and Gavin and Stacey are in there, and between them they account for a good chunk of the nation's Christmas Day viewing over the years. The quiz also includes a couple of gentler, more recent shows that people watch with a cup of tea, and at least one children's programme that will take some of your guests right back. Clues version included. Full preview on the Etsy listing.

UK TV Christmas Specials match-up quiz preview

UK TV Christmas Specials Match-Up

Doctor Who, EastEnders and Strictly are among the shows, and some of the pairings are easy while others need a proper memory for Christmas Day television. There's a certain penguin in there who will delight Wallace and Gromit fans. Answers included, and there's a preview on the Etsy listing.

It pairs well with the first volume if you want a full adverts round.

Christmas dingbats, anagrams and mystery pictures

Dingbats are picture puzzles where a combination of images and letters spells out a word or phrase, in this case Christmas characters and Christmas songs. Each dingbat quiz has 12 puzzles, answer space, a quiz master answer sheet and a clues version. This section also has a Christmas dinner anagram round and two mystery close-up picture quizzes.
